Hyaluronic Acid Stimulates Collagen Production
Injections with "dermal fillers" containing hyaluronic acid appear to stimulate production of collagen, a primary protein in the skin. This means that dermal fillers may actually restore the structure of sun-damaged skin, according to an article in the February issue of Archives of Dermatology. Injectable skin fillers have become increasingly popular for correcting the lines and wrinkles associated with aging, as well as acne scars and other skin conditions. Hyaluronic acid, a compound that occurs naturally in the skin and connective tissue, is among the most widely used fillers in the United States. Its molecules bind to water in the skin, hydrating and firming its structure, and the loss of hyaluronic acid with aging is associated with skin dehydration and wrinkling. .

In recent years, Futuremark's 3DMark benchmark has been a utility not only to measure the performance of PC hardware, but it's also been a tool to help show off the latest in graphics technology. Many times after viewing 3DMark's manufactured game demo benchmarks, which simulate different game genres such as first-person shooters and racers, I often wondered what would happen if the talent behind the 3DMark demo would apply its technology to a full PC game. Late last month, Futuremark announced that it intends to pursue game development with the formation of Futuremark Game Studios. The new company is already working on a PC title that features the latest technologies while also promising that its game will run on modest systems. Interestingly enough, Futuremark itself was born out of game developer talent.

Dairy Queen workers' hijinks on web shock owner
The owner of a St. John's Dairy Queen franchise reacted with disgust when informed of an internet video that showed his employees goofing off on the premises — in one case mooning through the drive-thru window. A camera phone video posted in December to a Facebook group involving employees of the Topsail Road Dairy Queen shows some of them cavorting in the empty restaurant. A worker at a St. John's Dairy Queen dropped his pants at a drive-thru window, in a phone video posted to a Facebook group. (CBC) In one scene, an employee drops his pants and bares his bottom outside the takeout window. Then, he does the same before the camera. "Oh man, you gotta wipe that now," a co-worker advises him, apparently in vain. The employee continues about his work, without — at least immediately — washing his hands.
