Jan Marini Skin Research Suspends Sales of Popular Eyelash Products
SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Jan Marini Skin Research, Inc. (JMSR; http://www.janmarini.com) today announced that it will voluntarily suspend the sale of its Age Intervention Eyelash Conditioner and Age Intervention Masses of Lashes Mascara products in the U.S. JMSR cited a patent infringement lawsuit by Allergan Pharmaceutical as one reason for the suspension. "We believe that it makes sense to suspend these products while we strategically review our options," said JMSR President & CEO Jan Marini. "We are assured that the Allergan allegations are unfounded. However, the lawsuit is a major distraction." JMSR reasserted its confidence in the safety profile of the products, and noted that it has conducted numerous and excellent safety studies. The company maintains its legal right to market both products.
9 p.m.: Chief: Fire at trailer park ‘suspicious’
Whitehead said firefighters had the blaze under control shortly before 2:15 p.m. Frankton and Chesterfield-Union Township firefighters assisted at the scene. No firefighters were injured battling the fire. The home was fully engulfed with flames when firefighters arrived, Whitehead said. He said he suspected an accelerant was used to get the fire going. "More or less gasoline," Whitehead said. He said it's the third such suspicious blaze at the trailer park since this summer. In all the cases, he said, the utilities had been turned off to the homes and they were uninhabited. Investigators don't yet know how those blazes were set. Whitehead couldn't immediately provide the dates of the previous fires. Whitney Faircloth, who lives at a neighboring trailer, believes one of the previous fires was caused by workers tearing down an adjacent trailer.
Damned if She Does, Damned if She Doesn't
Even what seems an act of human fault — Mother Teresa's chastising letter to a convent of her sisters — might be a virtuous act of charity. So too might be John Paull II's public scolding of Ernesto Cardenal, the Nicaraguan priest who held a public office in Ortega's Sandinista government.
Jesus would allow his human nature an expression that is an act of charity — he rebuked the money changers for their sin not out of anger, but out of love of God and love of Man.
Living the life of Christ is about becoming becoming more perfectly human, — following Christ's example — not "being perfect."

Who prays to the Pope John Paul II anyway? Devout Catholics and just about no one else. So if they have no "Saint John Paul" to provide greater clout than his current revered state, they can always turn to many other old stand bys as they are always ready with a sympathetic ear.
